About Katherine
Katherine Gennelly has been in the art field for over two decades. She began oil painting as a child, developing her skills from photographs. She continued to attend specialized instruction until earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Hartford, Art School in Connecticut. Upon graduating, private homes, corporations, and interior designers have commissioned Katherine in various projects. Typically, she begins with fabrics, photographs, magazine clippings and other reference chosen with the client. Building realism with several successive layers of paint. She has created imagined walkways, fantasy landscapes, and architectural deception. Her sophisticated trompe l’eoil murals are often complimented with custom painted furniture to set a completed scene. Each project is treated with the same respect and professionalism, as shown in Katherine’s diverse portfolio.
